Dale Rushby guest Sim Fly Festival

Ciao, mi chiamo Dale Rushby, sono un appassionato pescatore con la mosca e amo pescare fiumi e torrenti remoti. La dimensione dei pesci non mi interessa e nemmeno la quantità. Ho pescato e costruito mosche per 20 anni e mi piace costruire mosche semplici e catturanti. Anche se non ho un dressing preferito amo usare gli Spiders quando niente sembra funzionare. Mi piace la semplicità di questi spiders anche se costruirli bene non è sempre facile. Costantemente cerco di migliorarmi e

questo credo sia la cosa più bella di questa arte. Amo pescare a secca nelle serate quando il pesce sale a galla e quando un fiume che hai pescato con poco successo tutto il giorno improvvisamente prende vita. Ho avuto la fortuna di pescare molti fiumi in UK, USA e Europa anche se ve ne sono molti altri che vorrei pescare e la lista sembra aumentare di anno in anno. Sono il proprietario di Virtual Nymph in UK e partecipo a molti show per con il mi stand. Ho avuto la fortuna di essere invitato al SIM festival tante volte e ho anche avuto il privilegio di ricevere il premio intitolato a Claudio D’Angelo, un vero gentiluomo, costruttore, musicista e pescatore, il cui nome continua a vivere grazie a questo premio. Quelli che partecipano al Sim Festival fanno parte di una speciale Famiglia. Io sarò li anche quest’anno a rispondere alle domande che avrete per me. E se non avrò risposte, sicuramente ne avranno gli altri amici della Famiglia.

Hi my name is Dale Rushby… I’m an avid fly angler, and love fishing the more remote rivers and streams… Fish size doesn’t matter nor does quantity… I’ve been fly fishing and tying the past 20 years… I love tying “simple fish catchers”… I don’t have a favourite pattern… Although “Spider patterns” are my go to fly when all else fails… I love the simplicity of spider patterns, yet getting them right when tying always seems to be a challenge… I’m constantly learning and think that is the beauty of this hobby… I love “dry-fly” fishing on an evening when they are on… A river you’ve fished all day (and caught very little) can suddenly burst into life with the bounty of the evening rise… I have been lucky enough to fish a lot of rivers in the UK, USA and mainland Europe… There are still lots of places left for me to try and my bucket list seems to get bigger every year… I own Virtual Nymph in the UK and get to travel with the company to many shows… I’ve been lucky enough to travel to the SIM Fly Festival several times now… And have had the privilege of receiving and presenting the Claudio d’ Angelo award… A true gentlemen, flytyer, musician and fisher, whose name lives on through this prestigious award… Those in the know call this festival “The Family”… I shall be tying over the 2 days and there to answer any questions you have… If I don’t have the answer I’m sure one of “The Family” will have… Dale Rushby
